One dead after fatal hit and run in Berlin; investigation ongoing

Maryland State Police in Berlin are investigating a fatal hit & run.

After receiving a call around 10:09 p.m. last night, troopers responded to 589 ( Race Track Road ) and Gum Point Road.

At this time, police are withholding the name of the victim, until the next of kin is notified.

An investigation is ongoing.

47 ABC is learning a report that a person was struck by a car around 10 p.m. in Berlin Sunday night. 

The accident took place on Racetrack Road near Ocean Downs Casino. 

Police and other first responders were reportedly on scene.

There are reports of serious injuries, but the details are limited at this time.
