No injuries reported in Salisbury apartment fire; investigation ongoing

Officials report that no one was injured after a fire at a Salisbury apartment building resulted in over $150,000 in damages.

The Salisbury Fire Department says on Wednesday, just before 9:30 PM, a fire happened at a L-shaped apartment building on the corner of Rose Street and West Road. Officials say there were a total of eight units and and the units on Rose Street were being renovated at the time of the fire.

According to the report, the fire started in a room that was being renovated and the apartments were vacant at the time of the blaze.

Fire officials say the blaze caused $200,000 in estimated total damages.

This fire remains under investigation by the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
