New Mexico woman arrested after disorderly conduct incident in Del.

Hannah Cain, 25, of New Mexico

A New Mexico woman is in custody after police say she was under the influence of alcohol while blocking traffic and resisting arrest, in Delaware.

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department says on Monday, around 11:30 PM, officers were called to the 300 block of Rehoboth Avenue for a report of an intoxicated person in the middle of the roadway. Once on scene, police say they located 25-year-old Hannah Cain, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the middle of Rehoboth Avenue.

According to the report, traffic was stopping to avoid hitting Cain and she refused as police attempted to remove her from the roadway. Law enforcement say the 25-year-old struggled against officers during her arrest.

No one was injured as a result of this incident.

Cain was arrested and charged with one count of resisting arrest, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of drunk on a highway.

She was turned over to Sussex Correction Institution on $501 secured bail.
