A Maryland woman is now in custody after police say she was under the influence of alcohol during a 2017 crash that resulted in a man's death.

The Easton Police Department says on Wednesday, 33-year-old Jaclyn Dew, of Easton, was served an arrest warrant on charges of motor vehicle manslaughter, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and other traffic charges. Police say the charges stem for a vehicle crash the happened on May 7, 2017.

On that date, officers say Dew was involved in a crash on Aurora Street, at the intersection of Dutchman's Lane. According to the report, the 33-year-old was driving her vehicle in a negligent manner causing her to hit a vehicle driven by Herbert Andrew. Eason PD says Andrew died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the crash.

After further investigation, authorities say Dew's blood alcohol level was in excess of the legal limit at the time of the incident.

She is currently being held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond.
