Man injured as a result of Del. shooting; investigation ongoing

A shooting remains under investigation after police say a man was shot while sitting on a porch, in Delaware.

The Dover Police Department says on Tuesday, just after 12:00 AM, a 42-year-old man was approached by four male suspects, while sitting on a front porch in the 200 Block of West Reed Street. Police say a suspect puled out a handgun and fired several rounds, hitting the victim three times in the left leg. 

According to the report, there were four people inside the residence at the time, and there were no other injuries. 

Authorities say the victim was taken to Bayhealth Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries. 

This incident remains under investigation.
