Man arrested in connection with domestic disturbance in Salisbury

A man was arrested after deputies say he confined a woman to a Salisbury home and would not allow her to leave. 

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Monday, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Buckingham Circle for a domestic disturbance. Once on scene, deputies say they encountered Jonathan Burns, of Salisbury, and a woman inside of the house. 

According to the report, the woman reported that Burns locked her inside the house and stopped her multiple attempts to leave. Authorities say a witness reported that she overheard Burns yelling that he was not going to allow the victim to leave. 

He was arrested and charged with unlawful detention.
