Man arrested after allegedly chasing children with gun in Del.

A Dover man is in custody after police say he chased several children with a gun.
The Dover Police Department says on Wednesday, around 9:00 PM, officers responded to the 900 block of Whatcoat Drive after a parent reported an incident, claiming that a man was chasing children with a handgun. After reviewing surveillance footage, police say they noticed what appeared to be a black handgun in 36-year-old Russell Ewell Jr.'s possession, and they observed him chasing five children with a pellet gun.
According to the report, authorities found a black Smith and Wesson pellet gun inside the residence. Law enforcement says the gun did not have any markings to indicate that it was not a real handgun.
Ewell was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing (5x), terroristic threatening (5x), possession of deadly weapon by person prohibited, and possession of deadly weapon during commission of felony.
He was turned over to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of a $20,000 secured bond.
