Local toddler born without a kidney raises awareness for Kidney Walk

The Salisbury Kidney Walk is just days away. It's an event that brings awareness to kidney disease, a disease that affects more people locally than you may think.
Natalee Powell, a fun-loving two-year-old, plays around like any other toddler would, but you would never know what Natalee has been through in her first two years.
Her mother, Katelyn, tells us Natalee was born without a kidney. With that came several surgeries, scares and procedures to get Natalee to be the healthy little girl she is today.
It's quite the journey, but one that you can help and learn more about at the Kidney Walk.
"Kidney disease affects everybody no matter the age, race, gender, it affects everybody. It means a lot because you don't know how many people you're helping and us local families appreciate it like everybody else," explains Katelyn.
Now there's still time to sign up for this weekend's Kidney Walk that's happening at Winterplace Park on Sunday.
