Local farmers delayed by rainfall

With the recent rainfall and flooding, farmers across Delmarva are still waiting for their crops to recover from inches of water.
Some farmers have not been able to properly take care of their plants because of the amount of H2O.
Local farmers say it can take about a week for their fields to dry out enough to use heavy machinery. Some have watched trees fall over because their roots were not able to fight the large amount of water.
"For our corn and probably our lima beans fields, the fields are so saturated with water that [it will] probably take about a week for the fields to dry out before we can get any heavy machinery in there and plant the summer crops," said the Stag Run Farm Business Owner, Craig Brady.
Luckily, Brady said there wasn't enough wind to knock more of his plants over.
He also said that a ditch system was able to drain a lot of the rain water.
