Local contest winner shares American Idol experience

One local Georgetown resident had quite the exciting Sunday all the way in Los Angeles

If you didn't know, 47 ABC had a contest to win tickets to American Idol's finale week in L.A. It was sponsored by Preston Automotive and the lucky winner was Megan Jordan  who got the ultimate American idol experience at Sunday's show.

The prize package included airfare, a two-night hotel stay, a pair of tickets to the show and $100.

Megan tells 47 ABC it was quite the star studded night and she really enjoyed being only feet away from the Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie.

It's a night she says she'll never forget.

"It was just a once and a lifetime thing. I can't believe I won but I'm so happy I did and I'm so happy I'm here this is great. We woke up on the east coast just like we normally do, but we arrived on the west coast," Megan explains.
