Giuliani: President Trump special counsel interview decision delayed

(AP) – A decision as to whether President Donald Trump will sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller will likely not be made until after the president's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un next month.

Rudy Giuliani, the president's new attorney, said Friday that any preparation with Trump for a possible interview with investigators would have to be delayed until after the June 12 summit in Singapore.

Giuliani said he would not "want to take his concentration off something far, far more important."

No decision has been made on whether to permit the president to sit for an interview. Giuliani said that he had hoped to resolve that question by May 17, the one-year anniversary of Mueller's appointment, but that was no longer feasible.
