Berlin Hosts 11th Annual Jazz and Blues Bash

In Berlin residents and tourists enjoyed some smooth sounds today as they celebrated the towns annual Jazz and Blues Bash. This is the 11th year now that the Blues Bash has been taking place on the Eastern Shore. The event included jazz bands, food vendors, a beer garden and wine tasting. It's sponsored by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce who say the event is a huge economic driver for the town

"We have live entertainment on two stages at the north and south side of town we have lots of vendors great food, refreshment and all kinds of things," said Berlin Chamber of Commerce Member Steve Frene.

"It's not only good for our residents but it's good for our businesses as well it draws so many people here, thousands of people come just for the event and then they may take a look at some of the shops and decide to come back lacked," said Economic and Development Director for the town of Berlin Ivy Wells.

The event went on from 10AM to 6 PM. And had an after party held at the Globe Theatre.
