After a dry spell, heavy rain could be affecting farmers on Delmarva

The cold winter has pushed farmers' planting season a few weeks behind and now they're finally harvesting.
47 ABC spoke to Magee Farms who says, the weather lately has been dry and in the last several days, they've seen lots of rain.
Sometimes the rain is good but for the strawberries, it's not the most ideal situation. They actually don't like the excessive rainfall.
Once the fruit is ready, they don't need extra water.
Owner, Ellen Magee says, "As a produce farmer, a fruit vegetable farmer, you can put water on but they can't take it off. So it's trying when it rains a lot."
Magee Farms says most ideal weather right now is hot and dry. Despite the weather, we're told they shouldn't be delayed too much since they expect drier temps.
