On Friday, authorities release information on a 2017 murder investigation after police say two men were arrested, in Wicomico County.

Maryland State Police say on Thursday, 38-year-old Lee Braboy and 33-year-old Dionte Dutton, both of Salisbury, were arrested and charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault, possession of a handgun, and use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime. Troopers say the charges stem from a 2017 shooting of 20-year-old Jaquanta Walton, in Salisbury. Law enforcement says both suspects were arrested at separate locations in Salisbury.

According to the report, on June 10, Walton attended a party at the VFW in the 800 block of West Main Street. Police say when the establishment closed at 10:00 PM, dozens of people, including Walton,  were in the parking lot. Authorities say Walton was then shot by a suspect who fled the scene.

The MSP Homicide Unit credits the arrest of Braboy and Dutton to hundreds of hours of investigative work taking place since the murder happened lat year. This is an ongoing investigation.
