Three charged after gun and drugs located during Del. traffic stop

Three men were arrested after police say a gun and heroin were found during a traffic stop, in Dover. 

The Dover Police Department says on Saturday, around 11;17 PM, an officer noticed a black Dodge Avenger ,in the area of Lakewood Drive and Columbia Avenue with an equipment violation. Police say the vehicle was then pulled over. During the traffic stop, authorities say the noticed a 9mm handgun  on the dashboard of the car, in plain view.

According to the report, the driver, 23-year-old Shabazz Barlow admitted to the officer that the gun was his. Police say a search of the vehicle revealed .8 grams of marijuana and 108 bags of heroin under the right front passenger seat. 

Barlow, a 17-year-old male, and 19-year-old Jerry Green were arrested without incident. 

Barlow was charged with possession of firearm by person prohibited, possession of marijuana (agg. factor), and drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $8,000 unsecured bond.

The 17-year-old was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond on the charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Green was also charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and drug paraphernalia.
