Salisbury Bike Group Holds 2nd Annual Salisbury Bike Party

Dozens of bike riders spent their Saturday morning bicycling through Salisbury. Residents took part in the 2nd Annual Salisbury Bike Party where people of all ages and skill levels took a six mile bike ride through downtown Salisbury. Costumes, bicycle decoration, and music were encouraged on the family friendly ride. Other activities included a photo booth, a bike swap and a pop up skate park.

"It doesn't matter who you are you can just come out and ride together. A lot of people who aren't familiar with how to ride their bikes around different parts of Salisbury so we show you some of the safe routes to go, and you don't have to worry about where you're going you just follow us," said event organizer Jeremy Kirkendall.

If you missed out on Saturday's bike ride you're still in luck, event organizers say that the Salisbury Bike Party Group holds bike rides throughout the city of Salisbury every second Friday of the month.
