Police: Salisbury man arrested for selling property stolen from Delaware

A Maryland man is now facing theft charges after police say he attempted to sell a motorcycle to law enforcement agents.

Police say they arrested 24-year-old Brandon Lee Thompson Sunday after he had attempted to sell an off road motorcycle on a website. According to the report, deputies and the owner of the bike made arrangements with Thompson to meet at a location near Rose St. and Delaware Ave. in Salisbury to complete the sale. Law enforcement then witnessed Thompson pushing the stolen motorcycle to the location of the sale.

Officials were able to confirm that the motorcycle Thompson was in possession of was the same motorcycle reported stolen through the Delaware State Police. Police arrested Thompson and charged him with unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and theft of an item with the value less than $1500.  He was transported to central booking where the district court commissioner released him on his personal recognizance.
