Police discover a ‘one pot’ meth lab; two arrested

In Delaware, two men are now behind bars after police discovered a "one pot" meth lab in Hartly.

On Wednesday, Delaware State Police responded to the 800 block of Yoder Drive where they found  49-year-old Narven Marvel and 38-year old Douglas Hutchins Jr. who had active warrants. 

Police say that they found a total of 1.15 grams of methamphetamine and materials used in the manufacturing of meth all while in the presence of Marvel's three children. 

The Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit and DNREC determined that there was no immediate hazard to nearby residents.

Marvel is charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, Conspiracy Second Degree, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The 49-year old was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $7,000 secured bond.

Hutchins is charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, Conspiracy Second Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The 38-year old was also committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a on $6,000.00 secured bond.
