One dead after motorcycle and truck crash in Wicomico Co.; investigation ongoing

A crash remains under investigation after deputies say a man died from his injuries resulting from a Wicomico County crash.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Saturday, just before 2:00 PM, deputies and EMS were dispatched to Shavox Road and Hammond School Road for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Once on scene, deputies say they found that the driver of the motorcycle, 47-year-old Shawn Henderson of Parsonsburg, was severely injured. 

According to a preliminary investigation report, Henderson lost control of his 2011 Yamaha Motorcycle and collided with a 2016 Dodge pickup traveling in the opposite direction. Authorities say Henderson later died from injuries he sustained from the crash.

This incident remains under investigation by the MSP Accident Reconstruction Unit and the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.
