Middle School student creates anti-bullying video

A seventh grade student at Bennett Middle School is hoping her words can help change her school environment for the better.

Haydyn Scrimgeour sat down with her mom to write a song in hopes of snuffing out bullying in her school.

She says she has seen and experienced bullying first hand, and wants to bring awareness to the matter.

Haydyn says the school does their best, that some of her classmates have gotten help from their principal and guidance counselor, but there are others who still need that help.

Working with Urban Vision Works, the music video released on Sunday.

"If you do see bullying then please please please just tell somebody about it because people that are being bullied they're just facing it alone," said Scrimgeour.  "If you see bullying, if you hear about it, just tell someone about it so they can get the help they need."

Haydyn says she has also seen cyber-bullying, including the filming of herself and other students.
