Late night house fire causes $30k in damages

A late night fire caused $30,000 in damage to a home in Hurlock.

We are told that it happened on Jones Village Road around midnight on Sunday. It took fifty firefighters over the course of an hour to put out the blaze.

Officials say the blaze started in the kitchen of the mobile home and one person was home at the time.

Luckily the resident apparently heard the smoke alarm and was able to get out of the home without any injuries.
