Investigation continues into controversial KIHS video

In Queen Anne's County, rumors have been circulating on social media since a graphic video surfaced.

The video shows Kent Island High School lacrosse players holding another player down and putting their private parts in his face.

One of the main rumors was that a local judge's son was involved in the incident.

In a statement to 47 ABC , State's Attorney Lance Richardson addressed that saying :

"I can say that the rumors on social media are circulating that a local judge’s son was involved.  I have verified that is patently false.  The Judge’s son was not even at the school campus that day.  The irresponsible social media posters believe they know more about the investigation but their information is completely based on gossip, rumor, and false details."

As of Wednesday, the investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed. Sheriff Gary Hoffmann tells 47 ABC they still have to conduct more interviews before wrapping up their investigation.

Earlier this week the Queen Anne's County Board of Education announced  the junior varsity boys lacrosse team's season was suspended for the rest of the year. However many have called for the same action to be done to varsity team amid allegations they were involved in the incident as well.
