Funds on the way to help combat opioid crisis here on Delmarva

As the battle against the opioid crisis continues the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced its funding for 2018.

This kind of money will go towards multiple initiatives in the Opioid State Targeted Response program and Delmarva could soon see a significant amount of funds coming their way.

According to the Health and Human Services website Maryland could see just over 10 million, Virginia will receive just under 10 million, however Delaware will receive just 2 million.

This money will go towards different initiatives such as communications campaigns, support strategies, naloxone training as well as treatment centers
