Four arrested after robbing a pharmacy in Delaware and fleeing to Maryland

Four people are now in custody after robbing a pharmacy in Lewes and fleeing to Maryland.

Police say it all happened just after 2:00 AM Friday morning at the Walgreens located at 17239  Five Points Square. 

Police say two suspects entered the pharmacy and jumped over the counter, while two other suspects served as lookouts. One of the suspects ordered the pharmacist to unlock the safes. The suspects then fled with several bottles of oxycodone, liquid promethazine, and codeine.

Police in Delaware spotted the vehicle and chased the suspects all the way into Maryland.

The vehicle eventually crashed into a fence and the suspects briefly fled on foot until they were caught by Maryland State Troopers.  

Police arrested 25-year-old Steve Gantt, 24-year-old Earic Lewis, 32 year-old Antonio Jackson and 20-year-old Daniel Smith.

All four are facing felony charges including Robbery Second Degree and Conspiracy Second Degree.
