Delaware wineries seeking public input for public hearing on direct wine shipments

Delaware is one of only six states that still prohibits winery-to-consumer shipments.
For the past decade, the direct wine shipping bill has been introduced before the General Assembly but it's failed to make its way out of committee.
But wineries across the state hope House Bill 165 could be the change they are looking for.
On April 25th, the bill will be heard by the House Administration Committee and residents can make a difference.
Owner of Salted Vines Vineyard, Adrian Mobilia says, "It's important one way or other, no matter how you feel it's important that your voice gets heard right, obviously we're hoping you're on the side of getting this through so you can get wine and we can ship wine."
The public hearing will take place at 2:30 at Legislative Hall in Dover.
To have your voice heard, deliver your comments to the five members of the House Administration Committee in person, by email or over the phone.
