Del. officials remind beachgoers of rules that will take effect

As the weather gets warmer more people will be heading to the beach and of course parking their cars.

Delaware officials are reminding folks about rules and regulations that are going to take effect as beach season starts.

Parking meters n Rehoboth Beach will start Memorial Day weekend and will go on until the 2nd Saturday of September. Parking passes in the neighborhood will also start Memorial Day weekend.

“On the boardwalk, bicycles are allowed up until 10 AM everyday throughout the summer. As far as dogs on the boardwalk and the beach, they are limited that they won't be allowed until May 1st," says Mayor Paul Kuhns.

In Lewes parking meters go into effect May 1st and they're enforced every day from 9AM to 6 PM, meanwhile in Dewey Beach their parking fees start May 15th.
