Del. man facing weapon charges after late-night fight in downtown Milford

A man was arrested in downtown Milford after police say he was under the influence and aimed his shotgun at another man during a verbal altercation.
Investigation of the incident revealed that on Saturday, 32-year-old Charles J. Larsen Jr., of Milton, was involved in a dispute with the male victim in the area of Park Avenue and North Washington Street. During the altercation, the Milford Police Department says Larsen retrieved a shotgun from a nearby vehicle, racked the slide, and then pointed the gun at the victim.
Officials say around 11:00 PM, which was shortly before an officer patrolling the area had taken notice of the altercation, the crowd that had gathered around the incident.
The victim, who had to struggle with Larsen to release the shotgun, was "released without being charged as the facts of the incident were learned."
According to the report Larsen is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated menacing, and possession of a fire arm while under the influence. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution where his bail was set at $20,000 secured.
The 32-year-old is scheduled to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing on April 13.
