On Tuesday, Gillis Gilkerson Construction announced they completed construction for renovations to the Food Bank. In addition to revitalizing the businesses office space the construction company boosted the facilities cold sort room that will not only enhance the volunteer program experience, but it will also help expand their distribution efforts, allowing the food bank to improve the lives of even more food-insecure Maryalnder's on the Eastern Shore.

"Phase one expansion is going to help them store more food like you said I think that they're going to be more comfortable in the interior office renovation and I think that's going to help them out a ton and then logistically with the warehouse what we did is we opened up the warehouse and it's going to make it a lot easier for them to get in and out of there," said Gillis Gilkerson Vice President Tyler Barnes.

Managing Director Jennifer Small says the food bank will have a ribbon cutting ceremony for the food bank's new renovations in the next couple of months.
