Congressman Harris prepares for 2018 election

Maryland's first congressional district election of 2018 is right around the cornor.
This year Congressman Andy Harris is leading in the list of candidates as incumbent.
The Republican has been the first district's congressman since 2010.
Although election season has not officially started, Harris continues to insure the economy keeps going in the right direction for different industries like poultry, agriculture, tourism and more.
"We're just making sure that we solve the problems of the people of the first district. And make sure that they have what it takes to have a job, take care of their families and thats what again being an elected official is all about," says Harris.
There are nine other candidates hoping to represent the first district of Maryland this year, including two GOP challengers.
The primary elections will be on June 26th and the General Election will be on November 6th.
