Authorities: Man escapes custody in Md.; search ongoing

Police are searching for a man after they say he escaped their custody, in Dorchester County.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says on Thursday, around 6:30 PM, Charles Anthony Jackson Jr., of Cambridge, was arrested on various drug charges including possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone, and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana less than 10 grams.

According to authorities, Jackson escaped deputies' custody as he was being transported from the Dorchester County Commissioner's Office.
