Additional suspect sought in connection to Salisbury home invasion; one arrested

A man is in custody after police say another suspect was also involved in a home invasion that happened over the weekend, in Salisbury.
The Salisbury Police Department says on Sunday, around 12:00 PM, officers responded to the 100 block of Jenkins Lane for a reported home invasion. Once on scene, police say a 56-year-old male victim, who was also a resident, reported that there was a knock on the door around 11:30 AM. Officers say that the victim reported that two men then forced entry into the home with handguns.
According to the report, the two suspects were looking for the victim's roommate, who was not home at the time of the incident. Police say when the suspects realized that the roommate was not present, they then fled the scene.
After further investigation, police say one suspect was identified as 57-year-old Alonzo Powell, of Salisbury. Authorities say Powell was arrested later Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of Collins Street.
He was charged with home invasion, conspiracy, assault first and second degree, reckless endangerment, and handgun on a person. Powell is currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.
This incident remains under investigation as police are still looking for the other suspect involved.
