A Westover local needs help going overseas for a 11-month mission trip

A local from Somerset County is trying to making a difference one country at a time. 

Taylor Figgs was born and raised in Westover, but now she's going to take an 11-month mission trip overseas. 

For this upcoming trip, she will be visiting a different country every single month. The countries range from Morocco, to Jordan, to China. 

Primarily, her route will take her to the most unreached portion of the world. While she's there, she will be doing humanitarian work along with service work.

"I don't want to get lost in pursuing on my own comforts in life and forget to help others, so I definitely love helping others," Figgs tells us. 

But Figgs needs your help! She is trying to raise $18,000 and she's currently at $8,000.

She says the money will go towards traveling, lodging and transportation, not tourist activities. All donations are tax deductible.
