40-year-old man arrested in Ellendale

A man was arrested by the Ellendale police on Saturday due to several counts of driving violations. 

40-year-old Rolando E. Rodriguez did not immediately pull over his car when he was stopped by police at around 5:57 p.m. on 210 Pine Street. 

Rodriguez provided the officer with a fake name and could not provide a license, registration card or insurance card for identification. 

As a result, the man was found to be wanted for the following: failure to register as a sex offender, failure to pay theft by false pretense and theft, among others. 

Rodriguez was also charged with driving while suspended, failure to have registered insurance, expired registration on the vehicle, criminal impersonation and more. 

Rodriguez is now incarcerated at the Sussex Correctional Institute in Georgetown on a 59,967 dollar bail.
