19th Annual Boardwalkin’ for Pets to take place Saturday

on Friday night, and Saturday morning, dozens of residents will be raising money for some furry friends. The weekend of events is the largest fundraiser the Worcester County Humane Society holds each year.
On Saturday, hundreds of pet friends and families will meet in Downtown Ocean City and then will walk as far as they or their pet like. Water stops, beach photos, contests, and more will be available throughout the day.

"Just getting people out and involved to see what we do and to realize that each individual animal if you calculate it out averages around 1900 per animal per year for us to take care of that's a lot of animals and a lot of money so we do whatever it takes to make sure vet bills are covered and staff is covered," said event co-chair Heather Bahrami.

This Friday, adults 21 and older are invited to a dinner and silent auction at Secretes to raise money for the society. And make sure you grab your best friend for the walk on Saturday which will run from 9 AM until noon.
