Delaware State Police warn of credit card skimmers

Delaware State Police are offering tips that could help you keep your money safe.
We're told skimming devices have been found at ATM's and gas stations across Delaware recently.
Some of the places where these devices have been reported include Seaford, Harrington and Harbeson.
We're told due to a large number of victims, troopers are working with local businesses to identify any potential victims and suspects.
Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe with Delaware State Police said, "The only thing that we could tell people is that when they use their credit card, that maybe they feel that where they're putting their credit card in if it feels like a little bit off with the machine, in terms of maybe it is a little bit loose, that it could possibly have a skimming device on it."
Police say you should also frequently monitor your credit card statements to see if any fraudulent purchases were made.
If you suspect you have been a victim of credit card fraud, you are encouraged to call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Tip-3333.
