Cambridge Marketplace on schedule for completion

Out with the old and in with the new, that's the motto that the City of Cambridge is going by with their latest project.
Groove City and developers are making progress on their latest project, an area called Cambridge Marketplace. Since breaking ground last summer, contractors are close to completing the first phase of this 24 acre property.
"Phase 1 was the retail in the back and the construction of the entrance. We are anticipating building permits for the Chick-fil-A. Now the chick fil a may not be coming immediately. It might be next year we are not really sure the timing. But Chick-fil-A is coming," says Pat Escher, the Cambridge City Planner.
However developers say they've had to adjust their plans along the way.
"The grocery store Lidl we lost them and they pulled out the project," says Charlie Fairchild, the President of Fairchild Properties LLC.
Nevertheless, the company is moving forward and have plans on utilizing that space in a different way.
Fairchild Properties says their main focus is the medical center, which will now be a lot bigger because it will take some of the space where the grocery store was supposed to be.
The medical campus is expected to be completed by 2022.
