A crash is under investigation, after police say that a trooper's vehicle was rear-ended in Easton, on Sunday morning.
According to Maryland State Police, at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday morning, Trooper Michael Lockhart was stopped in the turn lane, preparing to make a U-turn at eastbound Route 50 and MD Route 322, in Talbot County.
That's when a black Toyota Camry, reportedly driven by 21-year-old Saquan Eangleheart of Columbia, left the fast lane and crashed into the back of Trooper Lockhart's patrol vehicle.
Trooper Lockhart, Eangleheart and the passenger, 19-year-old Victoria Lynn Canas, of Salisbury, were transported by Talbot County E.M.S. to Easton Memorial.
Easton Police Department reportedly helped with a 40 minute road closure on eastbound Route 50. The roadway was reopened at 7:00 a.m.
The Toyota Camry and MSP I-32 were both towed from the roadway. Eangleheart was charged for failure to reduce speed to avoid collision, failure to reduce speed in unfavorable weather conditions, unsafe lane change and negligent driving.
