Robertson gets bucket at the buzzer to lead Vikings over Riders

Twenty-four points for senior Ian Robertson, including a game-winning layup with one second remaining, led Cape Henlopen over Caesar Rodney 50-48.

The Vikings got off to a hot start leading after the first quarter 20-6. But the Riders would storm back in the second able to cut the lead to just seven headed into the locker room.

Robertson was a force in the paint, leading to four and-one opportunities to extend Cape's lead just enough to keep the Vikings out in front headed into the fourth.

Late in the fourth Cape leading by three, but Timothy Spence able to throw up a three-pointer in traffic to tie the ball game up at 48 all.

But Cape able to execute down the stretch. On the final play of the game, Robertson able to get the ball down low and lay it off the glass with just one tick on the clock.

Cape moves to 18-2 on the season and finish on a 14 game win streak dating back to December 29.
