Man arrested on child pornography charges in Dover

A man is in custody, after police say child pornography was found on his cell phone, in Dover.

The Dover Police Department says on Monday, 50-year-old Douglas Curry, of Dover, went to Metro PCS, on North DuPont Highway, to have some work performed on his cell phone. According to the report, at that time, an employee noticed several photos of juvenile girls and notified Dover PD.

Police say the phone was seized as evidence. After further investigation, officers learned that Curry purchased the images from various websites, and he had also spoken to underage girls. 

The 50-year-old was arrested and charged with dealing in child pornography, possession of child pornography, and sexual solicitation of a child.

He was later turned over to James T. Vaughn in default of $40,500 cash bond.
