DNREC, Town of Blades to hold public meeting on drinking water

Officials will hold a public information a meeting on Tuesday evening concerning the town's drinking water after contamination, in Blades. 

The Delaware Department of Natural  Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) say on Tuesday, they along with the Division of Public Health and the Town of Blades will hold public information meeting on the town's drinking water.

The meeting is set for 7:00 PM at the Blades Fire Hall located at 200 East 5th Street, in Seaford.

Officials say the  meeting will provide updated information to Blades residents about the town's interim drinking and cooking water while DNREC and DPH investigate the elevated level of PFCs (perfluorinated compounds) in the town's drinking wells. The meeting will also speak to concerns of nearby residents outside Blades' town limits who get their water from private wells.
