WiHi stays undefeated with close road win over Washington

The WiHi Indians defeated the Washington Jaguars 78-73 tonight. The Indians extend their undefeated season to 16-0 with this win and the loss drops the Jaguars to 5-7.

It was a big Bayside South matchup in Princess Anne as WiHi took the fifteen minute drive to Washington High to try and get to 16-0 on the season. Washington took a small lead into the half 34-31, getting fifteen points from Josh Sproul and nine from Dorian Stevens. For the Indians, Lequan Pettit led the way with eleven.

In the third quarter each team scored 20, giving Washington the 54-51 lead going into the fourth. In the fourth, WiHi was able to take the lead 60-58 with 4:44 off of a Lequan Pettit lay up and didn't look back from there. WiHi was able to extend their lead to seven and held that lead for the rest of the game as WiHi stays undefeated with the 78-73 win over Washington.
