UPDATE: Dagsboro man sentenced for role in several 2015, 2016 rapes
A man will spend the next nine decades in prison for his role in several rapes that began in 2015, in Sussex County.
The Delaware Department of Justice says on Friday, a Superior Court judge sentenced Temourise Taylor to 90 years in prison on the charges of attempted murder first degree and no contest to rape second degree, strangulation, unlawful Imprisonment first degree and terroristic threatening.
If released, Taylor would receive home confinement followed by probation with GPS monitoring for the unlawful imprisonment first degree and terroristic threatening charges. Officials say while in prison, the now Tier 3 sex offender will have to complete sex offender treatment and anger management counseling.
In November 2017, Taylor pleaded guilty to the charges stemming from several incidents that happened from 2015 through 2016. In 2015, Taylor punched and strangled a woman who tried to resist his attack. The sex offender later raped two women in 2016, when he beat one woman and threatened to other saying he had a knife. Taylor apparently stabbed his last victim in a separate incident that happened in December 2016.
