Troopers investigating shots fired report at home in Dover, police say

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a report of shots fired at a home early Saturday morning. 

Police say the incident occurred at approximately 2:32 AM Saturday, at a home in the 200 block of David Hall Road. 

While the two homeowners, a 53-year-old male and his 83-year-old mother were sleeping, they were awoke to loud banging noises and glass shattering. 

Further investigation revealed that two shots had been fired at the front of the residence. The first bullet had entered the residence through a window pane and struck a recliner. The second bullet had entered near the front door and became embedded into a wood stove.

Police say there are no suspects at this time, and the homeowners were not hurt as a result of this incident.
