Teen shooting victim dropped off at Del. hospital dies

(AP) – Police say a Delaware teen has died from gunshot wounds.

Delaware State Police say in a release that troopers were notified an 18-year-old Greenwood man had been dropped off at a hospital by a private vehicle on Thursday afternoon. Troopers responding to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford were notified the man had been shot and died of his injuries.

Police say the shooting took place in Bridgeville at the intersection of Newton Road and Adams Road. Troopers closed the intersection where the shooting is believed to have taken place for an hour to investigate.

The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The shooting remains under investigation.
