47 ABC Sports spoke with Laurel High School Athletic Director Jerry Mears Friday afternoon, discussing the recent snowy weather and how athletic schedules are affected by school closures.

Many things are taken into account when school district's are closed due to weather; and it isn't always as simple as rescheduling a game or match.

Field conditions, official's schedules and safety are only a few of the things to take into consideration.
