Salisbury Fire Department: Closed doors could save lives in a fire

A home on Collins Street went up in flames Wednesday night in Salisbury.
Investigators tell 47 ABC that unattended cooking is to blame.
We're told that three children were pulled out of the house by a pair of neighbors, before the fire departments even arrived.
But those neighbors aren't the only reason the trio is still here, fire officials say that keeping your doors closed could save a life. The door is way to prevent fire and smoke from spreading.
Keeping the door closed is a way to buy yourself time. You can either escape out the window or even give more time for the fire department to get there to help you.
47 ABC was able to speak to the mom earlier today, who didn't want to be on camera, but she says she is grateful that her children are safe.
