Salisbury family displaced after fire destroys home during snow storm

During a time where staying warm is crucial, one family in Salisbury is out in the cold.
Their misfortune started last night when a fire ripped through their home.
Today, 47 ABC had a chance to meet with the family as they began the painful process of picking up the pieces.
Everything inside the home on the corner of Princeton Avenue in Salisbury is burnt to ashes.
In the midst of a snow storm sweeping across Delmarva, Salisbury units responded in 12 degree temps with over a foot of snow. It took about 30 minutes for crews to cool it down after a spark ignited in the kitchen.
Winds added fuel to the fire causing the fire to grow. The wind damaged these windows. Every single room was devoured and every single item burned to a crisp.
Isis Williams is the 13-year-old resident apart of the family of five living at the home.
William says, "The kitchen is gone, the living room is gone, when you walk upstairs you can see through the whole house so you see the ground and the snow."
During a time where warm clothes are needed, this family is left with nothing. But despite losing everything, they are still thankful they have each other.
The 13-year-old resident was the only one who wanted to speak on camera, as they are going through a hard transition.
But we did speak to her grandmother who says they are currently staying warm at a hotel.
As for donations, she says money or even sweaters for this cold weather would be helpful.
