Police: Milford woman arrested for drugs after being pulled over for talking on cell phone

Police say that they arrested a 27-year-old woman after a vehicle stop for a cell phone violation led to drugs being seized in Milford, on Monday.
According to Milford Police, on Monday at 12:10 p.m., an officer on patrol on Northwest Front Street, saw 27-year-old Kathryn Christensen of Milford, driving a vehicle while using a cell phone.
A stop of the vehicle and further investigation that included a search reportedly led to heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia being seized. The investigation also allegedly found that Christensen was driving the vehicle under influence.
Police say that Christensen was wanted by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Christensen has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked, driving under the influence of drugs and no person shall drive a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device while motor vehicle is in motion.
Christensen was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court two where bail was set at $3,501 secured. Christensen has been committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
