Man injured in Lincoln shooting; investigation ongoing

A shooting remains under investigation, after police say a man was shot while outside of his home, in Lincoln.
Delaware State Police say on Wednesday, just before 1:00 AM, troopers were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to a reported shooting. The incident was reported to the State Police by the Hospital Emergency Section Staff.
According to the report, the incident happened around 12:00 AM as a 42-year-old Lincoln man was outside of his home, in the 22000 block of Pine Haven Road. Authorities say the man sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body.
The victim was later taken to an area hospital by a personal vehicle where Detectives made contact with him, and he was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Troopers say no suspect information could be provided at this time.
