Houston man arrested for his fifth DUI in Harrington

Police say that a man was arrested for his fifth DUI last Thursday, in Harrington.

According to Harrington Police, 39-year-old Brian Frazier of Houston, was arrested for his fifth offense driving under the influence, last Thursday. While on patrol on South DuPont Highway at 9:12 p.m., police reportedly stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Police then contacted the driver, identified as Frazier, where they reportedly smelled marijuana and alcohol. Police searched the vehicle where they say that they found 3.5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Due to snowy conditions, Frazier was allegedly taken back to the Harrington Police Department, so police could administer standard field sobriety tests. Police then performed the tests and found that Frazier had four previous driving under the influence convictions dating back to 2004.

After being processed, Frazier was charged with fifth offense driving under the influence, possess or consume personal amount of marijuana and careless driving.

He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court three and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $2,502 secured bond.
